Expressive Arts Therapies

The Expressive Arts Therapies are a creative arts-based form of psychotherapy which provides treatment for a variety of mental health issues.  The therapist facilitates the creative process via a collaborative exploration of artistic media to achieve an array of treatment and personal goals.  These goals may include fostering self-expression, enhancing coping skills, improving socialization skills, nurturing cognitive and physical development, and sensory regulation and integration.  Expressive Arts Therapists are registered psychotherapists who work collaboratively within the clinical team to provide person-centred, holistic care to enhance the quality of life of the people we support at Aptus.
