People with developmental disabilities have high rates of mental health disorders, often expressed in behaviour. Support staff often do not have behaviour support expertise.
Aptus and its partner, Mackenzie Health Centre for Behaviour Health Sciences, developed a 5-module training series for Supervisors and frontline staff to enhance behaviour-based expertise. Modules offered in English and French.
Guidebook shared in 2020, accessed by 80 organizations supporting hundreds. Videos have been shared across sectors in Ontario.
