About the Event

Aptus, formerly known as MukiBaum, was founded in 1979 with Dr. Nehama Baum’s vision of providing a better future for her son, Muki. Forty-five years later, her dream has enabled countless adults, youth, and children living with developmental disabilities to thrive in their communities.

This special evening celebrates the potential fostered over the last 45 years and aims to raise funds to support Aptus' expansion, building a brighter future for those in need of housing.

We will also be honouring our long-serving community supporters, family, staff, and board members who have made a lasting impact.

Impact of Your Support

It is estimated that over 30,000 adults with developmental disabilities are waiting for supported housing in Ontario, with the waitlist growing by approximately 1,200 each year.

All funds raised will be invested in expanding our Supportive Living Program to provide housing supports for those in need.

With your help, we can offer additional housing options tailored to the individuals supported at Aptus and providing a secure home for those waiting for housing.
